My New Bedroom

A few weeks ago my Aunt Susan was in town and she arrived with my new bedding. I bought the fabric nearly six years ago and she finally got around to finishing my drapes and coordinating bedding. It looks fabulous!!!

All my friends kept wondering why I had painted my bedroom and bath this particular shade of blue. Now it all makes sense. See what you think. I know it's very girlie, but it is so me.

Julie's 40th

The Big Four Oh

I've still got a couple of months before I have to face the dreaded birthday. However, the roller coaster ride has begun. The majority of my friends are turning 29 again. One of my best friends from high school is hitting that milestone this weekend. Several of us are getting together to celebrate and get highly intoxicated!!

It should be way fun and I am really looking forward to seeing old friends and drinking large quantities of alcohol. I'll be sure to take plently of photos as proof.

Speaking of old friends. I've had one enter my life recently and I've got to say, it's pretty cool. I'll go into more detail about that at a later date.

Bye bye Katie

I'm sure that I mentioned that I lost my "kid" before the new year. I just got the phone call from my vet, the very nice lady who had cremated my other two "kids", delivered my last one to his office.

Honestly, I'm a wreck. I've already got two urns in my office. I think not having her would hurt worse, but somehow, knowing that I will have yet another, is just breaking my soul. I'm pretty sure that if I decide to get another, it cannot be a blonde Cocker Spaniel. I think I need to branch out to another breed. These dogs are killing me.

Anyhoo, this is my tribute to the sweetest dog I have ever had. Unlike Brandi, Katie loved everyone and everything. Poor Brandi, was terrified of everyone and everything. Hailey, loved people but wasn't crazy about other dogs. Katie, just was so happy about life. She always made me smile. Everyone that came to my house (in her mind, came to see her). Even the pizza delivery guys loved her. It's been a very quiet house without her.

I'll get past the grief. We all do. But until then, this is for her.
